| Take a moment, close your eyes, and say a prayer.

Steve Irwin, lovingly known as the Crocodile Hunter, died on Monday doing what he loved; capturing wildlife on film in its own domain.
While filming Stingrays in the Great Barrier Reef, Steve Irwin was slashed through the heart by one of the posionous barbs on a Stringray's tail. He was paralized instantly and died later that day, leaving a loving wife and two children behind.
Irwin and his wife were very much in love, and now she will have to face life without the person she needs. His two young children will grow up without knowing the wonders of their father.

If you ever watched The Crocodile Hunter, you'd know what an impact that Steve has made on the past decade of research. He bravely went where no man has gone, and he has done milestones in zoology and other forms of science.
Kids, teens and adults alike will join in their mourning of this great, charismatic Australian.

Remember Steve Irwin, loved by all. Remember our Crocodile Hunter.

| I ran 13 miles today! Wow! Haven't ran that far since my last half marathon in February. I tell you, it's much easier to run in below freezing than in the near 100 degree heat that I ran in today. I can't wait until it cools off again.
Since my last post not too much has happened. I've just been running at least 4 days a week. I got my official NYC marathon handbook. Pretty excited about that! Now I know a little more about what to expect from the Big Apple during marathon weekend. Other than running, I've been working. I've been to Dallas a few times, El Paso and Louisville, Kentucky. Louisville has been my favorite trip so far. The people there were extremely nice and I actually enjoyed working while I was there. The downside to going to Louisville - it's an overnight trip which makes me miss Drew and my beagle princesses terribly.
I finished a book called "Sole Sisters." It's about women and running and it's very inspirational. I'm onto a book now called "I Run, Therefore I Am Nuts." It's hilarious. If you run you'll enjoy every word of this book. Funny how quirky runners are. The longer I run, the more I turn into the people in this book - the excessive amount of Dri-Fit clothing, sport bottles and sport bottle tops, multiple pairs of the exact same shoes, voluntarily waking up at dawn on the weekends to run for at least 2 hours just for fun, planning a vacation around a race - yup, I've done all that stuff and it just keeps getting worse! Oh well, at least I picked a healthy hobby!
Just under three months to New York! Can't wait!
| So...I haven't updated since graduation. A few things have happened since then: vacation and a new job. We'll start with the vacation. Drew and I went to Vegas to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary. We had the best time! We did all the touristy stuff, went to most of the hotels on the strip, saw a Cirque du Soleil show, and had a wonderful anniversary dinner at this little italian place called La Fiamma. I can't believe it's been two years already! I do have to say that it's been the best two years ever, though!
And now the new job. After months of looking (I started looking back in late February), I finally got a job. I work for a company called HealthWealth, Inc. and my official title is Wellness Educator. I work with corporations and focus on educating their employees on the benefits of exercise and a healthy diet. I'm starting my third week and I really like it. I don't think I could have landed a better first job out of college. I'm pretty much doing exactly what I wanted to do and I get to travel a bit, too, which is really nice.
The last bit of news I have is that my lottery number for the ING New York City Marathon was chosen!!!!! I'll be up in New York for a few days in early November to take in some of the sights and run one of the most popular marathons in the country. Hooray! I'm so excited to be able to do that. Some people try to get picked for years and I got it on the first try. Guess I was having a lucky day! :)
| It's official! I have graduated! No more school....ever! I actually mean that this time. There's no way I'm ever going back to school. I've had my fill. It was a great experience and I made some great friends, but enough of the studying already! Drew drove me down to campus where we met my parents and sat through the ceremony. Afterwards we went to Chuy's. Mmmm....mexican food. Now I'm sitting at my house about to get ready to go to a graduation party. I've just been thinking...what now? This will be the first time that I haven't had to go back to school in the fall. I think it will be great. I'll have more time to dedicate to other things...like my running. It'll be good! More money is always good...and I'm pretty much guaranteed to get a job paying more than UT did.

| I'm done with school!!! I'm done with school!!! I'm done with school!!! Yay!
So...yesterday I finished my take home test. That was the last thing I had to do in order to be finished with all of my classes. If you didn't already know, I'm graduating this semester. The ceremony is on May 20th. If you didn't get an invitation it's because you didn't respond to my email asking for your address. Shame on you!
In other news...I have a job interview today. Let's hope I get the job because I'm sick and tired of looking. Plus, this one sounds like the job for me. I just hope they feel the same way.
Drew and I have also scheduled our anniversary trip. We're going back to Vegas. It was almost three years ago that we got engaged there. Awww...sappy, I know. It'll be fun though. We're staying at the MGM Grand, going to see Cirque du Soleil's KA and going to have a nice romantic anniversary dinner at Picasso's in the Bellagio hotel.
Hooray for being done with school...FOREVER! I swear...I'm never going back to school. A Master's degree is enough!
